Dr. Ruben Valdes, DC
Dr. Ruben Valdes and his team at The Thyroid Place offer several thyroid treatments such as functional and integrative medicine, FDA cleared laser (LLLT) assisted weight loss, Low-Level Laser Therapy for low thyroid, functional medicine health coaching, and thyroiditis treatment.
Dr. Ruben Valdes DC founded The Thyroid Place to create a clinical home for women dealing with Low Thyroid and finding no relief through conventional care.
Dr. Valdes got to see from direct experience the devastation that low thyroid produces in individuals and in families. Growing up in a home where multiple family members dealt with this disorder and received the conventional model of care to "manage" it, he quickly realized that this issue was very poorly understood and that as a result patients and their families suffered immensely.
Whether from the lack of drive and energy, the depression, the irritability, the added health challenges, the future auto-immune diseases, and the massive frustration he knew something better had to exist. It was from this passion that Dr. Valdes and his wife Melanie founded The Thyroid Place. That purpose has evolved into the greater mission of transforming thyroid health in America – beginning with our central Florida community.
